At pyull, in order to maximize utilization of collected data, one of our main priorities is the privacy of you (hereinafter "users"). This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by pyull and how we use it.

User information
In order to provide personalized services, pyull identifies users through pyull account. Information collected from user's may be associated with pyull accounts.

Usage of conversation audio
Conversation audio may be used for serving other users or other services. In principle, pyull anonymize the voice when it's used for other users or services.
Conversation records
To improve how parrots talk, pyull records each exchange between a user and a parrot: the transcript of what the user said, what the parrot said in reply, and how the reply was chosen. These records are used to analyze and improve conversations, and to develop and evaluate pyull's services. They are kept without a fixed retention period.
Using conversation records for training
Of the conversation records, the transcript of what the user said and what the parrot said in reply are also used to improve the model that chooses the parrot's replies. This text is processed only on pyull's own equipment and is not passed to third parties. The model does not reproduce individual sentences as they are. Records from deleted conversation audio or deleted accounts are not used for future training.
Deleting conversation audio
When a user deletes conversation audio in the app, the conversation records that include it are marked as deleted and are no longer used.
Voice model (applies when offered)
pyull may in the future offer, as an optional feature, a "voice model" that creates the parrot's voice from the user's conversation audio so that the parrot can say sentences it was not taught in that voice. When this feature is offered, it will be handled as follows. A voice model is created only when the user has explicitly agreed in the app. The voice model is used only for that user's own parrot; it is never exported or used for any other purpose. When the user deletes the conversation audio, the voice model is deleted as well.

Language
The Japanese version of this Privacy Policy is the authoritative version. The English version is a translation provided for reference only; if there is any discrepancy between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version prevails.
